Special Events Coordinator (Financial Controller) 

May 2017 – Present

At Badminton Alberta, I’m part of a 6 person team that is responsible for all aspects of the 2017 Yonex Canada Open Grand Prix. As a Financial Controller, my main duties are creating a budget, managing online and offline ticket sales, reconciling revenue accounts and implementing a 50/50 draw. Additionally, I assist the team with sponsorship acquisition and transportation communication.

Administrative and Marketing Assistant

April 2016 – Present

My initial role at Release Dynamics was to increase business exposure and source leads. However, after I completed multiple finance and accounting classes, I started to manage the accounting elements of Release Dynamics. As an Administrative and Marketing Assistant, I’m still responsible for sourcing leads but I’m also now responsible for maintaining revenue and expense accounts.

September 2016 – March 2017

While working at FuturePay as a Marketing Communications Co-op for seven months, I was responsible for writing content for their blog, organizing and maintaining a database for cross-company use, sourcing business leads, reporting on KPIs, and creating email campaigns using SalesForce.

While in my core year of business school, I worked part-time at the Investors Group office in downtown Victoria. I was responsible for making outbound sales calls to the medical community, maintaining and updating a client list, and writing professional follow-up emails.

My time at Earls was split between front and back of house positions. Within the kitchen, I worked my way up the line, eventually landing the Apps Call position, which entails managing half the kitchen. As an Expeditor, I helped servers deliver food, cleaned tables, and ensured consistent food quality and customer service.

My first experience in the workforce was with my local grocery store, Safeway. As a Seafood and Meat Clerk, I was responsible for providing excellent customer service and executing quality meat and seafood cuts.
